Micron Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq: MU) is an American producer of computer memory and computer data storage including dynamic random-access memory, flash memory, and solid-state drives (SSDs). It is headquartered in Boise, Idaho. Micron's consumer products, including the Ballistix line of memory modules, are marketed under the Crucial brand. Micron and Intel together created IM Flash Technologies, which produced NAND flash memory. It owned Lexar between 2006[3] and 2017.[4] It is one of the world’s largest semiconductor companies and the only U.S.-based manufacturer of memory.[5]
For over 45 years, Micron has delivered memory and storage systems for a broad range of applications. Through the global brands — Micron and Crucial® — the company offers a broad portfolio of major memory and storage technologies, including DRAM, NAND and NOR memory and storage products.[6]
Today, Micron’s memory and storage solutions enable AI (artificial intelligence) and compute intensive applications across data centers, the intelligent edge and consumer devices for an array of industries including healthcare, automotive and communications.[7]
