Michael Geoffrey Skinner (born 27 November 1978)[1] is an English rapper, singer-songwriter, musician, and record producer. Best known for the music project the Streets,[2] Skinner has also released music as a solo artist, as part of the D.O.T. with frequent collaborator Rob Harvey,[3] and under the pseudonym The Darker the Shadow the Brighter the Light.
But Skinner has never hidden the fact that he comes from the suburbs. He was born in Birmingham. 'You think I'm ghetto? Stop dreaming,' he mocked on his debut album.
