Milan Brglez (Slovene pronunciation: [ˈmíːlam ˈbə́ɾɡlɛs];[1] born 1 September 1967)[2] is a Slovenian political scientist and politician who served as Speaker of the National Assembly of Slovenia from 2014 to 2018.[3] He has served as a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) since 2019. A member of the Social Democrats, part of the Party of European Socialists,[4] Brglez was a candidate in the 2022 presidential election.
