Jastine Valdez was a Filipina woman living in Ireland, who was abducted near Bray in County Wicklow and whose body was discovered strangled to death the next day near Puck's Castle in County Dublin,[1] after the suspect in her abduction had earlier been shot and killed by armed police investigating her disappearance.[2] The dramatic circumstances of her abduction and murder in broad daylight by a stranger caused widespread shock and revulsion in Ireland.[3]
