Musarrat Shaheen

Musarrat Shaheen is a Pakistani actress-turned-politician from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.[1] She is the chairwoman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Masawat.[2] Apart from politics, she was a noted actress in Pashto cinema.[3] She was the first heroine of the Pashto language cinema in Pakistan.

Some of her greatest hits include Haseena Atom Bomb, Black Cat, Bharusa, Dulhan Ek Raat Ki, Amber, Jaan Ki Bazi, Shikari and Accident. She got had a major breakthrough instantly when she started her career with the film Dulhan Ek Raat Ki released in 1975. And ever since, has been the leading actress of Pashto cinema and one of the most popular actresses of Lollywood as a whole.

Her most popular pairing in Pashto cinema was Badar Munir. They appeared in numerous films throughout the 70s, 80s and 90s.
