Ohayocon is a three-day anime convention typically held during January/February in Dayton, Ohio at the Dayton Convention Center. It was previously held in Cleveland (2001), Independence Independence (2002), and Columbus (2003-2024). Ohayocon's name is derived from the similarity between "Ohio," the convention's location, and Ohayou (おはよう), which means "good morning" in Japanese.[1][4][5] Its name is also a portmanteau created by combining "Ohio/Ohayou" with "convention."
