Othniel (/ˈɒθniəl/; Hebrew: עָתְנִיאֵל בֶּן־קְנַז, ʿOṯnīʾēl ben Qǝnaz) was the first of the biblical judges. The etymology of his name is uncertain, but may mean "God/He is my strength" or "God has helped me".[1]
