Painted Skin: The Resurrection is a 2012 Chinese fantasy action film[2] directed by Wuershan, starring Zhou Xun, Chen Kun, Zhao Wei, Feng Shaofeng and Yang Mi. The film reunites most of the original cast of the 2008 film Painted Skin.,[4] acting as a sequel to the original film in a new storyline and characters with some degrees of connection.
A television adaptation of the second film, Painted Skin: The Resurrection, similar to the first, was broadcast in 2013.
