A panegyric (US: /ˌpænɪˈɪrɪk/ or UK: /ˌpænɪˈrɪk/) is a formal public speech or written verse, delivered in high praise of a person or thing.[1] The original panegyrics were speeches delivered at public events in ancient Athens.
