Paraiyar,[1] Parayar[2] or Maraiyar (formerly anglicised as Pariah /pəˈraɪ.ə/ pə-RY-ə and Paree)[3] is a caste group found in the Indian states of Tamil Nadu and Kerala and in Sri Lanka.
