Perevozsky District (Russian: Перево́зский райо́н) is an administrative district (raion), one of the forty in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, Russia.[1] Municipally, it is incorporated as Perevozsky Municipal District.[3] It is located in the southern central part of the oblast. The area of the district is 769.2 square kilometers (297.0 sq mi).[1] Its administrative center is the town of Perevoz.[1] Population: 16,519 (2010 Census);[2] 18,024 (2002 Census);[5] 17,146 (1989 Soviet census).[6] The population of Perevoz accounts for 55.7% of the district's total population.[2]
