Pleurodonte is a genus of air-breathing land snails, terrestrial pulmonate gastropod mollusks in the subfamily Pleurodontinae of the family Pleurodontidae.[2]

The genus Dentellaria Schumacher, 1817 is considered to be a synonym of Pleurodonte by Vera (2008),[3] but Schileyko (2006)[4] considered Dentellaria to be a separate genus.
