Priesthood Sunday, also known as World Priests’ Day, is an annual event dedicated to recognizing and celebrating the role of priests in the Catholic Church. It is observed on the last Sunday of September. It offers Catholics an opportunity to express gratitude to the priests for their pastoral work and their commitment to service, spiritual guidance, and dedication. It is also a day for priests to reflect on their vocation and spiritual duties. The day complements other Church initiatives such as the World Day of Prayer for Vocations, which focuses on encouraging future vocations to the priesthood and religious life.[1]
