Putignano (Barese: Putignàane) is one of the neighborhoods of the Italian town Bari. With 26,644 inhabitants it is located in the Murgia of the Metropolitan City of Bari, in Apulia, southern Italy. It is known for its ancient Carnival, for textile manufacturing companies and for karst caves.
