Ravindra Kumar Ray (born 2 May 1958) is an Indian politician and member of parliament from Koderma constituency, Jharkhand. He won in the Indian general election in 2014 as a Bharatiya Janata Party candidate. He was the Mines and Mineral minister of Jharkhand during Babu Lal Marandi’s government and later became the Cabinet minister of Industry and Labour during the Arjun Munda government. Ravindra Ray played an important role in the formation of Jharkhand and was the first person to propose the idea of having a CM of the MLA’s choice in the state.[1]
