Red Bay is a city in Franklin County, Alabama, United States. It was founded in 1907; its western boundary line is integral with the state line between Mississippi and Alabama. The population was 3,232 at the 2020 census.[2] The town's name comes from the area's red clay soil and the many redbay trees (Persea borbonia) in this area of north Alabama.
