Regina Coeli (Latin for 'Queen of Heaven'; Italian: Carcere di Regina Coeli [ˈkartʃere di reˈdʒiːna ˈtʃɛːli]) is the best known prison in the city of Rome. It was formerly a Catholic convent and became a prison in 1881.
