Rik Makarem (born 18 January 1982) is an English actor most famous for playing Nikhil Sharma in Emmerdale.

Classically trained he is a graduate of the Royal Scottish Academy of Music & Drama. He won a Laurence Olivier Bursary in 2004 in association with the Society of London Theatre.^[1]
