Robert Kilgore Muchamore (born 26 December 1971)[1] is an English author of young adult fiction. He's best known for his CHERUB, Henderson's Boys and Rock War series.
I'm 50 today, though all my books say I was born in 1972. The reason goes back to 2002 and my first ever meeting with a publisher. The most senior person in the room saw my age as 29 on a pitch document I'd written months earlier, didn't realize I had already turned 30 and went into a spiel about how great it would be to publish someone still in their twenties. I was in super anxious job interview mode, so like any good sitcom character I didn't correct her. A few months later when they asked me to write a short biography I made myself a year younger.
