Rose Musleah (also known as Miss Rose;[1] born: January 1, 1911 Calcutta, India - died: December 8, 1985, California, United States)[2] was an Indian theater and film actress of Jewish origin who played in Tollywood. She acted in silent films at first and later in talkies.[3] Remembered as the "dancer actress" of silent cinema. Her films dealt with conflicts between tradition and individual choice.[4]
