Rovensky District (Russian: Ро́веньский райо́н) is an administrative district (raion), one of the twenty-one in Belgorod Oblast, Russia.[1] As a municipal division, it is incorporated as Rovensky Municipal District.[5] It is located in the southeast of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,369 square kilometers (529 sq mi).[7]} Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Rovenki.[2] Population: 22,764 (2021 Census);[8] 24,060 (2010 Census);[3] 25,085 (2002 Census);[9] 24,384 (1989 Soviet census).[10] The population of Rovenki accounts for 48.1% of the district's total population.[8]
