Sari Lindblom (born 6 May 1960)[1] is a Finnish psychologist and educationalist specialising in tertiary education,[2] who has since 2022 served as the first female rector of the University of Helsinki.[3][4]
Prior to her appointment as the rector, Lindblom held the positions of vice- and deputy rector, as well as directing the university's Centre for University Teaching and Learning 'HYPE' from 2004 to 2017.[3]
Lindblom has (co-)authored 17 books and over 100 articles.[3] She publishes also under her married name Lindblom-Ylänne.[5]
Lindblom's is the eldest daughter of the banker and politician Seppo Lindblom, and a grandchild of the trade unionist and politician Olavi Lindblom.[6]
