District in Amur Oblast, Russia
Selemdzhinsky District (Russian : Селемджи́нский райо́н ) is an administrative[ 1] and municipal[ 6] district (raion ), one of the twenty in Amur Oblast , Russia . The area of the district is 46,672 square kilometers (18,020 sq mi).[ 3] Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement ) of Ekimchan .[ 2] Population: 11,639 (2010 Census ) ;[ 4] 11,808 (2002 Census );[ 8] 20,632 (1989 Soviet census ) .[ 9] The population of Ekimchan accounts for 10.4% of the district's total population.[ 4]
