The Shamkir reservoir (Azerbaijani: Şəmkir su anbarı) is a large reservoir built on the Kura River in the Shamkir Rayon of northwestern Azerbaijan. It is the second-largest reservoir in the Caucasus after the Mingachevir reservoir.[1]
