Shuhrat (given name — Gulom Aminjonovich Alimov) (April 19, 1918, Tashkent — June 20, 1993, Tashkent) is an Uzbek and Soviet writer, poet, playwright and translator. He has been awarded National writer of Uzbekistan (1983) and Meritorious Artist of the Uzbek SSR (1978).
