Sithney (Cornish: Merthersydhni)[1] is a village and civil parish in the West of Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. Sithney is north of Porthleven. The population including Boscadjack and Crowntown at the 2011 census was 841.[2]

It is named after Saint Sithney, the patron saint of the parish church.[3] Saint Sithney was one of the band of Irish missionaries who came to west Cornwall. William Worcester recorded in 1478 that the body of the saint lay within the church.
