The Southern Military District (Swedish: Södra militärdistriktet, MD S) was a military district within the Swedish Armed Forces from 2000 to 2005. Its staff was located in Gothenburg, Sweden. The military district included Jönköping, Kalmar, Blekinge, Skåne, Halland and Västra Götaland counties.[2]
