Szymany (Polish: [ʂɨˈmanɨ]; German: Gross Schiemanen) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Szczytno, within Szczytno County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in north-eastern Poland.[1] It lies approximately 9 kilometres (6 mi) south of Szczytno and 45 km (28 mi) south-east of the regional capital Olsztyn. It is located in the historic region of Masuria.
The Olsztyn-Mazury Airport and the Szymany and Szymany Lotnisko train stations are located in the village. In the village there is a historic church of Our Lady of Częstochowa.
