Hello, I am planning on reviewing this article for GA Status, over the next couple of days. Thank you for nominating the article for GA status. I hope I will learn some new information, and that my feedback is helpful.
If nominators or editors could refrain from updating the particular section that I am updating until it is complete, I would appreciate it to remove a edit conflict. Please address concerns in the section that has been completed above (If I've raised concerns up to references, feel free to comment on things like the lede.)
I generally provide an overview of things I read through the article on a first glance. Then do a thorough sweep of the article after the feedback is addressed. After this, I will present the pass/failure. I may use strikethrough tags when concerns are met. Even if something is obvious why my concern is met, please leave a message as courtesy.
Best of luck! you can also use the {{done}} tag to state when something is addressed. Lee Vilenski(talk • contribs)
Please let me know after the review is done, if you were happy with the review! Obviously this is regarding the article's quality, however, I want to be happy and civil to all, so let me know if I have done a good job, regardless of the article's outcome.
the participants were Arsenal (men's and women's), Bayern Munich (women's only) and Lyon (men's only). In this edition, a new one-day format was introduced, with Arsenal Women competing for the first time. - probably better to say "four teams took part, Arsenal's women's team took on Bayern Munich, whilst the men's team played Lyon". Otherwise it's well confusing as if it's a round robin.Lee Vilenski(talk • contribs)23:06, 6 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Arsenal had started the match well, applying early pressure to the visitor's defence; former Lyon player Alexandre Lacazette was withdrawn early in the first half due to a foot injury,[26] he was replaced by Reiss Nelson. - this isn't a sentence. I totally understand, it is also my opinion that the article in whole probably isn't notable. This discussion opted to remove single match editions of the tournament, for which there has been several since the 2019 edition. This article is borderline given that the edition has one men's match and one women's match; the only reason I've attempted to bring this article to Good status is to complete the relevant topic. There is little I can do to make these matches anymore noteable and if you don't think the article is worthy of Wiki status could you please nominate it as an Afd; on the condition that you put the GAR on hold pending the outcome of the discussion, as all I really want todo is complete the topic. My thoughts are (which is a shame, because the whole article is great), that it's super borderline. So, here's what I will do - I'll nominate for deletion, and if it doesn't get deleted, I'll make it a GA. That's about as fair as I can be. Either way, you'd complete the good topic.
