It's not about a forest, it's about mountains. It says so right in the article: "In older cartographic and lexical works, the term "Bavarian Forest" refers only to the mountainous region of the Danube Hills". The Black Forest isn't primarily a forest either, it's a mountain area. Sorry, that's just something the German language does. Wegesrand (talk) 13:43, 16 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
