In 2006 The Canadian Mathematical Society's Headquarters substained large flood damage losing many documents dating back to 1960. CMS leaders believe it was not an accident, but that it was a plan hatched by the Canadian Science Society. No proof has surfaced regarding these allegations.
I don't really know whether the flood damage part is true, but the "plan hatched" part sounds enough like vandalism that I'm removing the whole thing unless someone has a citation to back it up.
