I'll do this one. For transparency: although I have edited this article, the extent of that is two minor edits to this article (one where I tweaked formatting, and one where I expanded "didn't" to "did not"), and two edits where I added archive links to it with IAbot - in other words, I have not "made significant contributions" and am still eligible to review this.--AlexandraIDV 23:54, 26 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Lead

  • I would mention that GK3 is an adventure game, and probably also what year it came out, to give context.
  • I would avoid "the game's creator" outside of single-person projects, and instead mention her specific role as game designer.
  • Would probably be good to clarify that Wolpaw was not a designer on GK3

Puzzle and solution

  • The puzzle appears in Gabriel Knight 3: Blood of the Sacred, Blood of the Damned. In this game, players control protagonist Gabriel Knight. - you can combine these into one sentence for better flow. Additionally, you don't need to call Gabriel "protagonist" - it is obvious since you've already mentioned that he's controlled by the player
  • The construction "In order to" can almost always be replaced with just "To"
  • Are there any sources for this that you can cite? If not, I would more explicitly cite the game with {{Cite video game}}, since this isn't the article about the game
  • Is the man a named character? If so I'd mention that name rather than just referring to him as "the man" over and over

Concept and creation

  • Seems fine

Reception

  • "The death of adventure games" is hyperbole, as new adventure games are still coming out today - I suggest changing it something like "The decline in popularity". Same with later "dying out"
  • Change '90s to 1990s

References

  • Is Episodic Content an RS? I have not heard of it before and it looks like it might be someone's personal website/blog
  • It should be "Canadian Broadcasting Corporation" rather than "Company"
  • Looks good otherwise

Images

  • Both images seem fine
  • Captions seem generally fine, although the differences between Gabriel and the man he was impersonating should be written in present tense, as the fiction happens as you play the game rather than being a past event
  • Not part of GA criteria, but forcing specific thumbnail sizes (256px) overrides user settings and disregards resolution - it is better to use the |upright= parameter, where 1.0 is the default size
  • Not part of GA criteria, but both images lack alt text, which would be very useful for readers with impaired vision

I will put this on hold for the usual seven days - ping me if you when you have addressed the above or if you have any questions!--AlexandraIDV 00:24, 27 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Alexandra IDV: I have tried to help with making the changes necessary, though it seems some were already done. I believe all the suggested changes have been made now. ZXCVBNM (TALK) 20:25, 29 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@MsDusa and Zxcvbnm: Thank you! I think this article is in good condition by now, so I will go ahead and promote it. I will note that Dusa and I spoke privately about the EC source and believe the content sourced from there is also covered in a Game Informer issue from 2012 - she opened a thread on WPVG about it, so if someone with a copy can help with scans etc it would be possible to reintroduce that material to the article.--AlexandraIDV 21:53, 29 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Makes sense, although it seems to be a relatively small part of the article unless some further information were gleaned from it. ZXCVBNM (TALK) 22:11, 29 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
