Whether it is a scam or not is debatable. As stated, their are even a few companies that accept this as a payment method. I do not think the reasoning stated above is grounds for deletion as it could be perfectly valid. The beauty of this kind of system is that you cannot really tell outside of the external reputation. Also considering how hard it is to actually USE the system, It won't be a poor old Grandmother who accidentally gets scammed, it will be some one fully prepared to take the risk to stay anonymous for whatever reason.
