It is helpful to keep the biochemical use of GHRPs as ligands for receptor identification separate from the clinical discussion on growth hormone substitution in human disease conditions, in particular because GHRPs are now a recognised problem in doping, methods for the detection have therefore been established and are being applied e.g. to nutritional supplements.
