I removed the sentence Most of the people are speaking the meänkieli dialect. Except for the frequence and nature of Swedish loan words the differences between the Kolari dialect and Meänkieli/Tornedalian Finnish might be small. The term meänkieli was invented among Finnish-speakers in the most nother Sweden part of Sweden during the 1980s,for historical and political reasons, and as far as I know the dialects in Finland that are highly related to Meänkieli/Tornedalian Finnish are not usually referred to Meänkieli. / Habj 23:07, 1 October 2005 (UTC)
