I've replaced the original article with a complete rewrite. I thought the original piece, with a link to accessibility 101 was just a thinly veiled sales piece. And considering this page is on the clean-up list for June 2006 I thought I'd do an overhaul. Also today, the DRC is making PAS 78 freely available, under license from the BSI - that's newsworthy enough to create an interest in PAS 78, hopefully Wikipedia can help get the message out there about web accessibility.
The article needs a wikipedian to suggests wiki links. I'll probably end up tweaking and fine tuning this piece over the next couple of days, so comments gratefully accepted.
Two disclaimers: I've added a link to my blog entry as part of the external links - I'd like someone less biased than me to have a look and see if its good quality enough to be on the list of external links. The other links are to web accessibility experts and news organisations, as well as references to legislation sites.
Second disclaimer: I worked for Legal & General and was the Technical Lead Web Developer on their web accessibility initiative. The business case and results of making the site accessible was presented as a case study at the PAS 78 launch. -- Isofarro 29 June 21:29 British Summer Time
