The Tashi Group of Companies is the largest privately owned conglomerate of companies in Bhutan.[1][2][3]

Tashi Group has over 40 subsidiaries including Tashi Air (Bhutan Airlines), Tashi Infocomm, T-Bank, Druk School, etc. Tashi Group, the largest private company in Bhutan, operates a chemical plant, a ferrosilicon plant and a soft drinks bottling factory.[5]
Bhutan, the tiny Himalayan kingdom long closed to the world, is opening for business, and Dasho Topgyal Dorji has plunged into practically every market. He has steered his family's Tashi Group into hotels, banking and construction.
By all accounts, Dorji is the richest man in Bhutan, though his rugged demeanor with long flowing mane and adrenaline-pumping rafting quest defy the suave etiquette of boardroom culture. But Dorji is hands-on. He runs some 40-odd companies under the Tashi Group banner with 3,000 people, which has wide-ranging interests from brewing to aviation.
