The Tehran Zoological Garden (Persian: باغوحش تهران), also known as Eram Zoo (باغوحش ارم), is located 4 km (2.5 miles) on the Tehran–Karaj Freeway in the Eram Amusement Park, Tehran province, Iran. Inaugurated in 1992, the zoo covers an area of 4.5 ha (11 acres) and houses over 290 species.[1]
