Purpose

Basic syntax: ...lorem ipsum.<ref>...</ref>{{COI source}}

Formatted appearance: ...lorem ipsum.^[1]^{[conflicted source?]}

If you are certain the source has a conflict of interest

Use |sure=yes or |certain=yes to replace the ambiguous language of the template with more confident language.

Example: {{COI source|sure=yes}}

Formatted appearance: ^{[conflicted source]}
