This campaignbox is for:
- Plots, conspiracies and insurrections during the Interregnum which can be considered part of the Wars of the Three Kingdoms, but currently do not have any coverage in the main campaignboxes.
It is a campaign box intended for—in today's parlance—violent non-state actors and their actions. so
- it is not for peaceful anti-regime actions such as those by the Levellers and the Diggers.
- it is not for the actions of the New Model Army and Cromwell against Parliament (as they were a facet of the Commonwealth regime).
- it is not for battles that are part of full-scale warfare such as the first phases of the "Cromwellian conquest of Ireland" (1649–1651), the "Third English Civil War" (1650–1651), which are part of the Wars of the Three Kingdoms and have their own campaign boxes.
- it is not for the Protectorate's battles in foreign wars such as "First Anglo-Dutch War" (1652–1654) and "Anglo-Spanish War" (1654–1660) as they are not part of the Wars of the Three Kingdoms and they already have campaign boxes.
