This template generates an abbreviation for "died" ("d."); by default, it has a mouse-over tooltip explaining its meaning.
Parameters
[edit]This template supports an unnamed parameter representing a year (or range of years). For example, {{died-in|1956}} renders to give d. 1956. This differs from {{died-in}} 1956 in that {{died-in|1956}} puts a non-breaking space in between the "d." and the number, which prevents web browsers from inserting a line break there.
