Creates a Google search link for the supplied term. By default, the search link is for the name of the page it is put on, if no term is provided. It is strongly recommended (but not required) that you SUBST: this template.
Do not use this template in articles (as Google search links are not appropriate in articles). The template is only for talk pages and other process pages (Help desk, WikiProjects, etc.). The template will produce an error if you attempt to use it in an article. |
To link to a Google "verbatim" search (which keeps Google from guessing alternate spellings), add the named argument verbatim with any value other than whitespace.
