The template takes one mandatory parameter, which is the name of the source country (the country of first publication, if known, or as a fallback the individual's country of nationality) so that a judgement can be made as the minimum level of originality required under local law. If the signature can be copyrighted in the source country, the image should be tagged with {{Do not move to Commons}}.
