A Mallet steam locomotive of the Eritrean Railway, the only railway system in Eritrea. Originally constructed by the Kingdom of Italy when Eritrea was its colony, the railway, which connects Massawa to Asmara, was heavily damaged in World War II as well as the Eritrean War of Independence.
