A 99.995% pure
titanium crystal bar, about 14 cm (5.5 in) in length and weighing about 283 g (10.0 oz), made by the
iodide process. Titanium has the highest strength-to-weight ratio of any
metal and is resistant to
corrosion. It can be
alloyed with other metals for a wide variety of industrial purposes.
