Criteria
This is an award for those willing to participate in the sometimes heated arena of deletion discussions to help keep Wikipedia from becoming an indiscriminate collection of information. Such participation is a mostly-thankless job— this barnstar is meant to help correct that. Please feel free to place it on the talk page of any editor you notice who has shown courage or determination or particular skill in helping keep
out the "chaff." Consider providing that editor with a wikilink to the discussion that inspired you to award this barntar.
Usage
To use this Barnstar template, create a new section on the user talkpage of the user you want to give the award to, and add {{subst:The Winnowing Fan Barnstar|1=Put your message here. ~~~~}}
to the talk page of the user to whom you wish to award it.
