Public Law
- 1 = Congress
- 2 = Ordinal law
U.S. Statutes at large, optional
- 3 = Volume
- 4 = Page
Enactment date, optional
- 5 = Year, must be four-digit, YYYY
- 6 = Month, must be two-digit, MM, with leading zero if <10
- 7 = Day, must be two-digit, DD, with leading zero if <10
Bill, optional
- 8 = Bill type
- 9 = Bill number
