Shouldn't this be Republic of Macedonia and not plain Macedonia? It is transcluded to several other pages.-- Avg 22:37, 23 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Its purpose is country lists and the like where "Macedonia" is unambiguous. It was agreed to somewhere at MOSMAC. BalkanFevernot a fan? say so! 23:55, 23 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Wrong again. It was never agreed to at MOSMAC: "In the case of templates linking only to country articles, where there is no possibility of the Republic of Macedonia being confused with the Greek region, the short form "Macedonia" may be used." Templates linking only to country articles, i.e. country navigation templates at the bottom of country articles, not country lists in general articles. ·ΚΕΚΡΩΨ· (talk) 16:46, 2 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It's very comfusing and NOT encyclopedic to mix a region with a country. This template is extremely wrong and antiwikipedian. It should change immidiately or be deleted, as unacceptable. Lock is the answer to be wrong? User:Pyraechmes Chrusts 17:55, 13 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
