Theocritus (/θiːˈɒkrɪtəs/; ‹See Tfd›Greek: Θεόκριτος, Theokritos; born c. 300 BC, died after 260 BC) was a Greek poet from Sicily, Magna Graecia, and the creator of Ancient Greek pastoral poetry.[1]
