Thiomonas intermedia is a Gram-negative, aerobic, moderately acidophilic bacterium from the genus Thiomonas, which has the ability to oxidise sulfur compounds.[3][4] Thiomonas intermedia was isolated from an sewage pipe in Hamburg.[5]
